Zynga ist vor allem durch seine Facebook-Spiele Farmville und Mafia Wars bekannt (und reich) geworden, Anfang 2011 übernahm der Social-Gameshersteller das kostenlose Browser-Projekt Flock. Flock bietet eine nahtlose Integration von Facebook und Twitter direkt im Browser.
Für viele Nutzer war bereits Anfang des Jahres klar, dass Flock bald eingestellt wird, denn Zynga übernahm Flock nicht des Browser wegen, sondern weil sie sich die Entwickler einverleiben wollten.
